Australian Bakery Cafe

On Saturday afternoon, me and my family visited the East Atlanta Australian Bakery Cafe (the original one is in Marietta). From outside, the cafe is not much to look at. However, the brick wall on the left side of the building is pretty cool because it is painted with aboriginal style art and kids hand prints. Other than that, the place looks humble, very hodgepodge. The logo on the outside window is just the title with a kangaroo jumping over it. When we walked inside, there was a large pastry case with all the meat pies and pastries they had. The menus were on blackboards with chalk and colorful paintings of koalas and such. The manager, Dave (I think his name was), was super nice and knew a bunch of history about Australia. Everyone ordered and we waited for our food. While we were waiting an Australian couple came in with the most fun accents ever! They ended up ordering fifty bucks worth of food to take with them. The meat pies were awesome. I've never had one before and they were so good. I got Curry Lamb, which was spicy but not too much so. Everyone loved it. Then we got some dessert: lammington (spongecake covered with coconut), the national Australian dessert (some kind of crazy, really flaky strawberry pastry), and another strawberry dessert with Australian candy filling. Everything was great. Plus, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the manager was really friendly and talkative. I definitely want to go back.

I really feel good about creating a logo for these guys since their place is so fun and has such great food and people. Plus, the manager seems to care a lot about the business. I think a great logo could help more people find out about this great place.

Seeing you were able to attend and dine there, you got some experience that you could bring into your design. I liked how descriptive your overview was for the place. :)
